Ministry Update
A lot has happened with Global Impact Network (GIN) since our last update. We are grateful to God and all of our partners who have made it possible for us to be a channel of blessing to children, churches and ministries in Europe.
In September we received as a donation a 4-bedroom
house in Bulgaria, which will serve as our base of
operations in that part of the world. Our vision is to
use it as a retreat center for leaders who need a time of
refreshing, encouragement and refueling, as well
as to host missions teams we take to that part of the
world. While in Bulgaria, I had the privilege to travel
and minister to churches and pastors.
In October GIN moved into its Tulsa office at the
International Gospel Center (IGC). This was made possible through a long-term relationship with the T.L. Osborn Ministry.
We were invited to help with the development of the
Thrive Community Center, an outreach of the IGC.
GIN Bulgaria Foundation was registered with the
purpose to ensure full transparency and
accountability to our donors and partners.
We believe that God is going to use GIN to be the
bridge of numerous resources to ministries in
Europe. That is why we are going the extra mile to
build a trustworthy ministry.
Projects Highlight
Since the beginning of this year GIN has established several strategic partnerships with ministries and projects in Europe. Through these partnerships we have witnessed the lives of numerous children and adults impacted for eternity.
A highlight for us in 2018 has been the partnership with the Integration Through Sports Project of pastors Anatoli and Desi Yankov from Svishtov, Bulgaria. They are working with over 30 at-risk children and their families from the Gypsy ghetto in their city. God gave pastor Anatoli the vision to start a judo team with these children and to help make a difference in their lives through sports.
This year the team has won two gold medals at a
city championship, two bronze medals at a
national level and four silver and four bronze
medals at an international championship. Most of
these children come from extremely poor families
who cannot afford to even send them to school…
BUT GOD!!!
Through God’s love, care and provision for these children, their lives have been impacted for eternity. I had the privilege to meet some of their families on one of my missions trips to Bulgaria this year and see first hand how open they are for a relationship with pastors Anatoli and Desi.
This Christmas we would like to provide a gift for each one of these children along with a children’s Bible and some Christian books. Would you consider partnering with GIN to provide a gift for Christmas for these children?
Another highlight for me was to minister at the
churches for people seeking freedom from drug
and alcohol dependence as well as their families
in Sofia and Plovdiv, the two largest cities in
Bulgaria.
During my first trip to Bulgaria this summer I had
the privilege to deliver a grant from a partnering
organization to pastors Dmitriy and Ekaterina
Karpov who at that time had two home groups.
Through the help of the grant the two home
groups have now grown into two churches.
I would love to find more churches in the USA willing to partner with new church startups in the places where we have established relationships. A small investment in a church in Eastern Europe makes a big difference in the lives of many people there who have never heard the Good News before. If you are interested in more information of how your church can partner with GIN in this, please let us know.
Looking Forward
In 2019 we are looking into taking 3-6 missions teams to Bulgaria and the Balkan region. We will continue to connect churches and ministries from the West with churches and ministries in Eastern Europe to help create long-term ministry relationships.
The vision of GIN is to accommodate strategic partnerships between leaders and projects, in Eastern Europe with resources in the West enabling them to fulfill their God-given vision and mission. We have witnessed the impact God has made on people’s lives through the partnerships GIN has established in 2018. We look forward to expanding to more territory in 2019 and seeing even more lives influenced for eternity.
We invite you to consider joining one of our missions trips to Bulgaria and the Balkan countries next year.
Opportunities To Help
If you feel that God is calling you to partner with us in some way, feel free to contact us and we will be glad to share with you various opportunities. We believe God is giving Bulgaria and Europe a window of opportunity to see the Light and experience God’s love like never before. We would be honored if you choose to join this new adventure with us.
Our website is up and running, as well as our Facebook page. Through these outlets we will keep you informed of specific opportunities to partner with GIN.
We have prayerfully considered partnering with a
couple of projects, so that we can make a bigger
impact with the resources available to us right now.
If you would like to join us or partner with us in
some way, let us know and we will send you more
information about the specific needs of the
ministries we will be partnering with.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year!
